Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems has partnered with Peterbilt to offer its PRIMAAX EX severe-duty vocational air suspension system as a part of chassis enhancements for the Peterbilt 365, 367, 389, 567, 579 and 589 models. The suspension system will be available in capacities of 46,000 and 52,000 pounds, have a 10-inch ride height and are compatible with drum and air disc brakes.

“Peterbilt is excited to expand our partnership with Hendrickson by adding the PRIMAAX EX to our suspension offerings,” said Jake Montero, assistant general manager of sales and marketing for Peterbilt Motors.

The suspension system is designed specifically for the rigorous demands of vocational and severe-service vehicles such as those used for construction, refuse, mixer, logging and heavy-haul applications. The system features a robust structural design and incorporates optimized suspension geometry to help minimize driveline vibrations and control suspension windup and corresponding frame rise. Premium heavy-duty rubber bushings require no lubrication and are performance tested for service life. The suspension provides enhanced stability and handling for vehicles with heavy loads and high centres of gravity allowing drivers to negotiate tight turns with minimal sway.
