The RICS Summit Series Americas brings together thought leaders from across the region sharing their knowledge about current issues in the industry.

In Toronto, experts will discuss the local and global impact of advancements within the construction industry. What’s the effect that the construction of cities has on resiliency, both environmentally and socially? Explore what makes a city livable. Examine advancements in technology that improve productivity and safety. Look at how evolution of the workplace increases productivity and transforms the way we work.

The April 20 conference will focus on several areas:

  • The impact of technology on the built environment
  • Livable Cities
  • Evolution of the Workplace
  • How to bring it all together

Ambitious projects of grand scope that create profound change are inherently challenging. In each summit city, these discussions will tackle local challenges, developments and regulatory framework, from diverse points of view. In Toronto, the tripartite government agency Waterfront Toronto recently came to an agreement with Sidewalk Labs to continue efforts to transform a large portion of under-used real estate into a smart sustainable city called Quayside. What does this mean for the future of development in one of North America’s fastest growing cities? How can the capture and use of data be governed? These items and others will be explored at the Toronto leg of the RICS Summits of the Americas 2020.
