PCL Construction has been recognized by PwC Canada as a 2018 Vision to Reality (V2R) Awards finalist in the reinventor category. The company is recognized for its adoption of digital technology in construction.

PCL eliminated an entire on-premise data centre and migrated it to the cloud. This enabled the delivery of mobile applications and solutions, integrated solutions and data-driven analytics that aid in a construction project’s schedule, quality, safety and financial performance, according to PCL.

“To better support construction excellence, we needed to adopt a digital-first mindset, focused on field solutions,” said Mark Bryant, chief information officer at PCL Construction.

Award winners will be announced at the 2018 V2R Awards ceremony on May 10 in Toronto.
