Regina-based company wins inaugural Private Business Growth Award

The Brandt Group of Companies – which includes Brandt Tractor Ltd., the world’s largest privately held John Deere construction and forestry equipment dealer – was selected as one of the top five fastest growing companies in Canada at the Private Business Growth Awards.

Presented by Grant Thornton, a global organization of independent audit, tax and advisory firms, in partnership with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the awards “highlight the strategic excellence and noteworthy achievements of Canada’s privately held companies, sometimes lost to the spotlight claimed by publicly held companies.”

Finalists were chosen based on their achievements in eight areas: innovation, product and service development, expansion into new domestic or international markets, development of people and culture, leadership, improvements in internal processes, stakeholder relations, and financial measures or governance. This year’s inaugural awards gala took place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Ont. on Nov. 19.
