Procore Technologies Inc. is building out its preconstruction offering with the acquisition of an Austin, Texas-based company that specializes in cloud-based estimating and takeoff.
The construction management software company said the addition of Esticom will add new estimating functionality to the Procore platform, helping contractors win more bids, reduce risk and increase productivity.
“Procore is investing in the future of preconstruction, an increasingly important and impactful part of the construction process,” Tooey Courtemanche, the company’s founder and CEO, said in a release. “Together, Procore and Esticom will deliver a single, comprehensive preconstruction solution on the Procore platform, with data connectivity that helps customers track costs and accurately predict estimates.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Procore plans to fully integrate Esticom, which already does business with several Canadian customers, into its platform next year. Until then, the solution will remain part of the Procore App Marketplace.
Procore announced the new acquisition at its annual Groundbreak conference last week. It also launched a range of new product features tucking in new solutions for cost controls, BIM and artificial intelligence.
