Mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) and telehandler manufacturer JLG Industries has added the JLG ES4046 Electric Scissor Lift to its lineup of machines. The model is the highest of the company’s ES Series scissors, measuring a 39-foot platform height indoors, and up to 28.5 feet outdoors, while simultaneously being the lowest gross-weight scissor in its class.

“This model completes the JLG family of ES Series scissors, and the added value isn’t just with the updated specs,” says Bob Begley, JLG director of product management. “JLG ClearSky Smart Fleet comes standard, and the future-focused design supports facilities’ daily tasks by providing efficiency and enhancing battery life.”

Incorporated customer feedback, the manufacturer has introduced enhancements to key areas of the product, such as fold-down rails for ease of use and maneuverability, as well as incorporation of parts commonality, fewer hoses and fittings, and a single lift cylinder, which results in reduced maintenance needs. JLG also says the machine will provide over 50 per cent more duty cycles than the previous R4045 electric scissor lift.

The machine has a zero turning radius, which provides access to narrow aisles and tight overhead spaces. This year, JLG is also introducing a lithium-ion battery option, which it says will offer more efficiency, enhanced battery life, fast charging, and a lower lifetime cost of ownership. Operators also can add optional features such as CleanGuard leak containment system for working on sensitive flooring, a 900-watt inverter to charge tools, and SkySense enhanced detection system that helps protect workers and property.

ClearSky Smart Fleet comes standard on the ES4046 to allow for easier fleet tracking.
