Offering greater flexibility at height, JLG has introduced its new 450AJ HC3 to its Hi-Capacity line of boom lifts.
The new model has a 45-foot (13.72-metre) platform height, as well as 25 feet (7.62 metres) of horizontal outreach. It can carry up to three occupants, plus their tools, in its three capacity zones, which range from 660 to 1,000 pounds (approximately 300 to 450 kilograms).
It’s also outfitted with the lifting equipment maker’s latest zero calibration, automatic load sensing system that eliminates the guesswork for operators.
“JLG has engineered load sensing technology that is advanced enough to allow operators to respond to an overload situation, quickly and easily,” said Randi McClure, marketing manager for boom lifts at JLG, in a release. “By removing or unloading items from the machine’s platform, for example, the 450AJ HC3 model will recognize when it’s back within its rated load capacity, then enable operations to resume without the need to recalibrate the machine.”
