Case introduces OEM-fit machine control on D Series excavators

Case Construction Equipment launched a new technology offering last month that will equip its D Series excavators with 2D and 3D machine control systems from Leica Geosystems. The equipment maker said the OEM-fit solution is available from Case SiteControl certified dealers.

“It takes the guesswork out of what solution works best with each machine and ensures that it is installed and tested by certified professionals before it’s delivered to the contractor,” Nathaniel Waldschmidt, product manager for Case, said in a release. “The excavator and the machine control system are optimally matched and calibrated — helping the owners and operators of each machine get up and running immediately upon delivery of the machine.”

Along with the precision fit, the company said purchasing the machine control system can be grouped with equipment acquisition, meaning combined financing and a single purchase package.
