The Alberta government has picked three construction teams to compete for a contract to build five new high schools with space for nearly 7,000 students.
The province released a shortlist of consortia Nov. 5, about six weeks after issuing a request for qualifications for the school building bundle.
The Alberta Partnership for Learning, Concert-Bird Partners and Plenary-Maple High Schools build teams will prepare bids for the work in Blackfalds, Edmonton, Langdon and Leduc over the next several months. Full breakdowns of the firms involved are listed below.
Alberta plans to have a winning bidder in place, as well as start construction on the projects, by September of next year. The schools are scheduled to open for the start of the 2024-25 school year.
