Carillion Canada wins $156M maintenance contract in London, Ont.

Carillion Canada Inc. will be looking after London’s highways for the next 12 years.

The construction firm recently announced it was named the preferred bidder for the Area Maintenance Contract  2011-12 London.¿¿The contract will begin in May 2012, and will include year-round routine maintenance services for provincial highways in the London area at a price tag of more than $156 million. ¿Carillion will also be performing preventative maintenance services when necessary – which the firm will be paid for, in addition to the value of the original contract.

The winning bid follows the company’s recently awarded highway maintenance contracts for the Huntsville, Ont. area and the Eastern Central Region of Alberta, worth a combined $316 million over 11 years.
