ALI Excavation Inc. buys Pearson Pelletier to expand civil project reach

Groupe ALI Excavation Inc. is adding to its expertise in the civil sector with the addition of a 31-year-old business based in Ville Ste-Catherine, Que.

Pearson Pelletier Enterprises, which specialized in concrete work, will be tucked into Groupe ALI, but maintain its current staff and continue operating under the Pearson Pelletier banner. The contractor has recently worked on such project as the Turcot Interchange, Quartier DIX 30 in Brossard and the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) in Montreal.

“This transaction further consolidates Groupe ALI’s expertise in the civil engineering sector and it provides the company and its subsidiaries with an enhanced measure of independence in contract management and execution,” Marc-André Loiselle, the company’s CEO, said in a release.

Groupe ALI, headquartered in Valleyfield, Que., said the acquisition will bring its revenue to over $100 million annually and increase its staff level to more than 300.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
