Ritchie Bros. starring in heavy equipment TV series

An upcoming two-day auction in Edmonton is doubling as the set for a new TV show telling the story of big machinery and big price tags.

Hosted by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the September 4 and 5 auction features more than 4,275 pieces of heavy equipment and is being filmed as part of a 13-episode series called Selling Big.

During the auction more than 145 pickup trucks, 90 truck tractors, 60 excavators, 35 crawler tractors, 30 flatbed trucks, 25 wheel loaders, 15 articulated dump trucks, and 10 motor graders will be sold for at least 575 sellers. There are no minimum bids or reserve prices on every item at the auction.

Also up for grabs is premium real estate, including four residential home sites on Kootenay Lake (near Creston, B.C.), a country residential acreage in Creston, and a 6.8-acre sport-fishing lodge in Sandspit, B.C.
