Milwaukee Tool has introduced the first of many solutions designed for concrete contractors with its new MX FUEL Backpack Concrete Vibrator.

The new, lithium-ion-powered vibrator offers consistent starts and the power to push up to 2.5 inches head and 70 cubic yards per charge.

“It’s no secret that concrete vibrator solutions today are faced with multiple user frustrations, some of the biggest are centred around the problems of gas equipment — the starting, emissions, noise, regular maintenance, and vibration for example,” said Kevin Gee, director of product management for Milwaukee Tool, in a release.

The backpack features a push button start, a modular design that lets users to easily remove the backpack harness when working on walls and columns, and a noise reduction of up to 50 per cent compared to traditional gas equipment. It’s part of Milwaukee’s new MX FUEL line of battery-powered light equipment.
