Celebrating 8 decades of tool manufacturing

Max is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2022. The company, which manufactures rebar tying and cutting tools, as well as sign making equipment, office tools and other products catering to the construction market, was founded in Japan in 1942.
Early Max products included staplers, hand tackers and construction tools, before expanding into compressors and pneumatic pin nailers for the concrete industry in the 1970s.
Max USA entered the North American market in 1964 with a line of construction products, private labeling tools before introducing its own branded items in 1994. Max USA is headquartered in Plainview, N.Y., and serves customers in North, Central and South America.
