Lisa Laronde, president of the Canadian Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC) was recently recognized as one of Canada’s most powerful women by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN). WXN unveiled its award winners in late October 30 and recognized 103 women for making a transformational difference in their fields and actively shaping a more inclusive future.

Laronde, president of RSG International, was appointed to the CAWIC Board in 2021 and became the association’s president this past July.

The awards committee noted Laronde’s influential speaking engagements and podcast appearances, her passion for building psychologically safe work environments, and her business acumen as reasons for her inclusion on this year’s list.

“I am grateful for this honour and would like to congratulate all of the fellow award winners who are being recognized for their outstanding contributions,” said Laronde. “There’s no doubt that together we are stronger and our voices and collective actions are helping to advance our communities, our industries, our country, and each other.”

“On behalf of all of us at CAWIC, I want to thank Lisa for her unwavering support and action to help shape a more inclusive world. We have continued to see Lisa’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout her leadership at CAWIC,” said Kristen Hallberg, president-elect at CAWIC. “There’s no doubt that her words, actions, and legacy are helping to create a stronger foundation, not only for CAWIC but for the construction industry as a whole.”
