Kubota Canada Ltd. has launched its KX080-5 power utility excavator. Designed for advanced utility, comfort and performance, the manufacturer says the new excavator is a reinvention of its popular KX080-4, and will be an asset on construction sites, for landscaping projects, and presents an ideal option for rental uses.

The KX080-5 features keyless start, engine autostop, rearview camera with seven-inch LCD display, and LED working lights. The utility excavator enables a digging depth of over 15 feet, a dumping height of 17 feet and a digging radius of 24 feet. The new model is has also been designed with noise reduction, luxury seats, air conditioning, extra leg room and improved visibility over previous models.

“The KX080-5 was redesigned to elevate the operator experience and guarantee maximum comfort while on the jobsite,” said Jonathan Gardner, product manager, Construction Equipment, Kubota Canada Ltd. “Focusing on what worked for the KX080-4 and building off of it ensured we kept the tried-and-true roots of the machine, but also leveled it up to meet the demands of excavator work and our operators.”

The machine’s two-pump load-sensing system has been engineered to improve the overall smoothness of operations when using front attachments, letting operators effortlessly perform simultaneous operations. An auto-shift system enables automatic travel shift from high to low depending on traction effort and terrain, giving smoother simultaneous operations when dozing and turning.

The updated 8-ton compact excavator offers a spacious and comfortable cab, expanded glass area and double adjustable air suspension seat. Cab designs feature a slimmer, more ergonomically positioned right LCD screen, a quieter environment and more foot space.
