Lifting equipment manufacturer Haulotte recently introduced its HA61 RTJ PRO rough terrain articulating boom. Completely redesigned from earlier generations of equipment, the machine is engineered for the challenges of working at heights up to 61 feet.

Ideal for working on challenging outdoor terrain, the boom features an articulated arm with 39 feet of horizontal outreach to overcome obstacles and reach the most inaccessible working areas, says the company. Standard on the machine is Haulotte Dual Reach, which increases the load in the basket up to 770 lb. and enables working on sloping ground up to six degrees. Once Dual Reach is activated on the upper control box, the machine continues to elevate and work smoothly, limiting the number of back-and-forth movements between the ground and the working area for greater safety and productivity on sloping grounds. When Dual Reach is activated, the machine’s working envelope is automatically adapted to ensure stability.

The machine is equipped with standard four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering, with an oscillating axle that allows the machine to adapt to all conditions. Its automatic differential lock provides extra traction on uneven or sloppy ground.

The 10 LED spotlights of the Haulotte Activ’Lighting System enable operators to load and unload the machine safely in low-light conditions and two reflective stickers on the counterweight give the machine excellent visibility in urban environments or when co-activity is required. Additional safety features include the Haulotte Activ’Shield Bar, which protects the operator in an entrapment situation, as it stops the machine as soon as the operator is pushed against the bar and the wide clearance protects the operator from being crushed.

The HA61 RTJ PRO offers several on-board diagnostic solutions to facilitate fleet management and minimize downtime, including the company’s SHERPAL telematics solution to monitor the status of machines remotely and in real time, and the Haulotte Activ’Screen on-board diagnostics tool, which gives access to machine parameters and provides key information on machine status in real time. These functions are also available via the Haulotte Diag mobile application, which also offers advanced diagnostics with detailed resolution procedures.
