Westport Innovations will be the lead tenant of a $370-million LEED Gold transit-oriented development – Marine Gateway – beside the Marine Drive Canada Line station in south Vancouver.

Westport, a multinational Vancouver-based company that engineers advanced natural gas engines and vehicles, has secured more than 50 per cent of Marine Gateway’s 14-storey office tower for its head office.

In addition to the office tower, the 820,000 sq. ft. development includes two residential condominium towers, rental housing, retail and public space, an 11-screen movie theatre and a 46,000 sq. ft. grocery store.

Construction of Marine Gateway will create 2.5 million man-hours of construction and more than 1,500 permanent office and 650 retail jobs.

The project is scheduled for completion in 2015. For more information visit www.marinegateway.com
