EllisDon takes No. 2 spot for Aon Hewitt’s Top 50 Best Employers in Canada

Construction companies were well represented on Aon Hewitt’s Top 50 Best Employers in Canada for 2013.

EllisDon took the No. 2 spot, while several other firms cracked the top 50, including PCL Constructors (No. 17), Clark Builders (No. 32), Cruickshank Group (No. 38), Aecon Group Inc. (No. 40) and Graham Group Ltd. (No. 48).

Aon Hewitt’s top 50 list is taken from a study where the company surveyed 280 Canadian employers, representing an estimated 400,000 employees across the country.

The study is designed to assist organizations in accurately assessing engagement and identifying strategies to increase engagement with increased information and insight.

Aon’s website states that the main requirement for being recognized as a “Best Employer” is creating and sustaining a highly engaged workforce, which is measured by surveying employees within the organizations.
