Briefing note prepares for enforcement officer visit

The Council of Ontario Construction Associations (COCA) has released a best practices document to assist Ontario contractors prepare for and manage visits from Ontario College of Trades Enforcement Officers.

The document was developed by COCA associate member Sherrard Kuzz LPP with input from the COCA Board and Executive.

“Though the College produced a clarifying document late last year at the request of the industry, what we heard from our members was that they needed something more robust. Something prepared by a third party” said Gary van Bolderen, COCA Chairman.

“Whenever new legislation is introduced there is always some uncertainty. We hope this briefing note will answer key questions and alleviate some of the industry’s concerns,” says Michael Sherrard, principal of Sherrard Kuzz LLP.
