The City of Windsor is working against the clock to complete construction of a competitive pool by April, in time for the International Children’s Games on Aug. 14. The pool is part of the city’s $78-million Family Aquatic Complex, which will ultimately feature a competitive 25-by-71-metre stainless steel pool on one side of the complex, and a wave pool, water slides and additional attractions on the other. The complex is being built under a joint venture between EllisDon Corporation and Windsor’s DeAngelis Construction Inc.
