Turner Construction has signed a multi-year enterprise agreement with California-based technology provider Versatile which will expand the deployment of Versatile’s AI-powered CraneView solution.

Turner, which participated in On-Site‘s latest construction technology webinar, will experience improved data gathering capabilities on its jobsites across North America thanks to this agreement.

CraneView captures and analyzes thousands of data points that are collected through a proprietary crane hook-mounted sensor array. This will give Turner valuable jobsite performance insight, accessible through web-based dashboards. Using this, the company will have better support in the planning and sequencing of construction work, while experiencing improved scheduling and safety.

“On the construction site, cranes are the pacesetters – orchestrating and driving a tremendous amount of activity,” said Jim Barrett, Turner Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer.

He added that CraneView will allow Turner the data analysis capabilities to make constant improvements, thereby increasing productivity and shortening project schedules by weeks.

“We’ve seen proven value in the use of CraneView to inform continuous improvements that positively impact our day-to-day operations and we are eager to realize the benefits of wider scale adoption,” said Kevin Stilwell, Vice President and Construction Executive.
