Two dead after vehicle crashes into construction equipment on Ontario’s QEW

OAKVILLE, Ont.—Provincial police say two people have died following a crash on a highway ramp in Oakville, Ont.

Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says a vehicle crashed into stationary construction equipment and burst into flames on the Queen Elizabeth Way May 4.

He did not immediately release information about the victims following the crash, which occurred around 6 p.m.

Police say the on-ramp at Ford Drive was closed for hours following the crash for an investigation. They have not yet released further details about the cause of the crash.
