Ontario Road Builders’ Association event to include conference sessions, annual general meeting and awards.

In response to Ontario’s move back to Step Two of the provincial COVID-19 response plan, the Ontario Road Builders’ Association (ORBA) is moving its annual conference from an in-person event to a virtual summit.

As was the case for the organization’s 2021 Summit, the 94th ORBA annual convention and annual general meeting will be held over four days, with this year’s event happening on January 26 and 27, and February 2 and 3.

Continuing with its planned theme “Driving Forward Together, Join Us on The Journey,” the event will include panel discussions on such topics as rebuilding the economy after COVID; addressing the shortage of skilled labour; advances in technology; and workplace safety, providing strategic insights for the road building industry.

As part of the event, Ontario Ministry of Transportation Awards will be handed out on February 2 to recognize the 2021 MTO Paver of the Year and the 2021 MTO Concrete Contractor of the Year.
