A backpack concrete vibrator is the newest addition to Wacker Neuson’s line of battery-powered equipment.
The company introduced the new cordless ACBe at Conexpo. It says it’s “ideal for the consolidation of thick interior concrete slabs with and without reinforcing steel and is an excellent choice for job sites that have strict guidelines for noise and emissions.”
The unit is built in three modules, including the backpack with integrated converter, removable/replaceable battery and internal vibrator. Designed by a hiking pack company, the backpack itself uses lightweight fabric, distributes weight evenly and has padded shoulders for extended work periods.
The Wacker BP1000 lithium-ion battery is the same one used in the company’s zero emission AS50e and AS60e battery rammers and the AP1840e and AP1850e vibratory plates. Run times vary depending on the vibrator head, but typically range from two to four hours.
