Volvo introduces high-speed driveline option for L45H and L50H wheel loaders

Volvo CE has added an option to two of its compact wheel loader models, enabling the L45H and L50H to reach speeds of up to 50 kilometres per hour.

“These loaders are often used in applications that require travel between job sites, where the standard-speed transmission may be time consuming and the alternative of transporting them by truck can be expensive,” said John Comrie, product manager for wheel loaders with Volvo CE, in a release. “The higher travel speed is not only efficient; it also improves productivity in applications like load and carry and clearing snow.”

The additional high-speed driveline more than doubles the standard (20 km/h) top speed of the two wheel loaders. A third 30 km/h option is also available.
