Update to Giatec concrete sensor gives SmartRock dual temperature functionality

Re-designed for their third generation, the latest version of SmartRock sensors from Giatec simplifies activation, installation and improves signal range. The update, first unveiled at World of Concrete this February, also adds dual temperature monitoring capabilities to the wireless sensors.

“This enables users to measure temperature values at two locations simultaneously,” the company said in a release. “One temperature probe is located at the tip of the white temperature cable, another in the body of the sensor where the black transmitter is located.”

Designed for mass concrete applications, the dual monitoring functionality lets contractors track temperature differentials between concrete’s core and its surface.
