The TB257FR, the latest Takeuchi compact excavator, is designed for work in tight spaces.

Featuring the manufacturer’s patented side-to-side offset boom and a tight tail swing, the TB257FR can rotate fully with very little overhang, making it a fit for road and bridge work, in between buildings, and other confined space applications.

“The patented side-to-side offset boom allows for greater working versatility, and the low centre of gravity and optimized counterweight placement creates an extremely stable platform with lifting capabilities similar to that of a conventional machine,” said Keith Kramlich, national product and training manager for Takeuchi, in a release.

The new excavator has an operating weight of 12,765 pounds, a dig depth of 12 feet, 9.3 inches, and maximum reach of 20 feet 4.7 inches.
