Procore builds out Preconstruction solution to cut out rework, better manage costs

Building off its acquisition of Esticom last fall, Procore Technologies Inc. is adding to its Preconstruction solution to better connect the the estimating and takeoff process with construction.

The software firm announced enhancements to Procore Preconstruction June 10 that will integrate Esticom’s technology, giving users the ability create their budget and prime contracts directly from a estimate, and generate accurate takeoffs faster with an artificial tool known as Auto-Count. The platform also streamlines change management to ensure information is not lost when it’s handed off between teams and makes benchmark data available to project teams looking to compare past performance with initial estimates.

Procore says its updated Preconstruction platform is designed to make the estimating process more accurate while also improving design coordination to ensure constructability.
