Equipped with a 131 horsepower engine and weighing in at 38,376 pounds, Bobcat Co. has introduced a new excavator that will take over the top size slot in the company’s excavator lineup.

The E165 is designed for heavy digging on commercial and residential building sites, underground utility applications, road and bridge projects. The company says it complements compact track and skid-steer loaders in the Bobcat lineup and gives operators greater confidence to easily pick up and place items.

A conventional tail-swing machine, the excavator has four power modes that give operators adaptable performance to tackle a range of jobs.

“Whether the priority is efficient fuel consumption or all-out power for tough digging applications, operators can set performance to the demands of the job all from the comfort of the cab,” Bobcat says. “Plus, a convenient power boost button on the right-hand joystick temporarily increases hydraulic power to allow operators to break through hard ground.”

Additional features include: auto idle, auto shift, heated air-suspension seat and X-Frame Undercarriage, among others.
