Ligchine International has introduced an updated version of its SpiderScreed designed for placing concrete on upper decks, slab-on-grade and 3D surfaces.
The lightweight machine, which is also specified for residential applications, weighs 581 kilograms (1,280 pounds), taking advantage of a tubular aluminum main and screed head frame.
Ligchine says the SpiderScreed is the lightest drive-in screed featuring an auger screed head or a smooth roller for multi-directional use. It has an independent hydraulic front wheel drive system and its wheels are linked together in unison to achieve zero-turn, parallel and lateral steering and drive motions.
For its levelling system, the updated SpiderScreed uses two Topcon LS-B110 receivers, with optional TopCon trackers and local positioning systems.
