Komatsu launches remote equipment support platform in North America
A new digital support program from equipment manufacturer Komatsu improves the connection between the head office and job site, and aims to help large project run more efficiently and economically.
The company launched its Smart Construction Remote platform across North America earlier this month, which lets users send new design data to machines in the field and remotely support operators, without commuting to the job site itself. Troubleshooting issues for operators, pinpointing the precise locations of machines and allowing off-site staff to view what the operator is seeing, are a few of the other features of the new solution.
The platform is compatible with all Komatsu intelligent Machine Control models as well as select machines outfitted with Topcon devices.
