Komatsu America Corp. unveils motor grader with focus on operator comfort

Komatsu America Corp. has introduced its new GD655-7 motor grader. Equipped with an 218 HP, EPA Tier 4 Final engine, the machine features low-effort control levers, a steering wheel and steering lever and a series of cab upgrades. The transmission shift lever with finger-operated forward-neutral-reverse switch aims to simplify operation and reduce required hand movement. The motor grader features dual-mode transmission (8 forward, 4 reverse), an inching pedal and full locking differential. 2-mode, 3-stage Variable Horsepower Control (VHPC) allows the selection of the appropriate mode, economy or power. Other standard features include grade control (TOPCON 3D-MC), a closed-centre load sensing hydraulic system, blade lift accumulators, a circle slip clutch and a seven-inch, full-colour monitor, to name a few.
