JCB’s 1CXT backhoe loader is now available to customers in the United States and Canada.
The company’s smallest backhoe model, the 1CXT is just less than 6 feet (1.8 metres) wide and 12 feet (3.6 metres) long. Its footprint is 60 per cent smaller than a standard full-size backhoe loader, allowing access to job sites too small for a conventional machine.
The 1CXT has a loader bucket breakout force up to 2,350 kgf and a maximum dig depth of 3.08 metres. With a transport weight under 9,600 pounds (4,354 kilograms) the 1CXT can be towed between job sites without a Commercial Driver’s License (subject to local regulations.)
Powered by a Perkins engine, the 1CXT requires no diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) or replaceable diesel particulate filter (DPF) and produces 49 hp and 122 lb-ft (165 Nm) of torque. The hydraulic system includes a 24.6 gpm (100 l/min) auxiliary circuit capable of powering high-flow attachments including patch planers and trenchers.
Other notable features of the 1CXT are joystick controls, a cab with heater and air conditioner, universal quick hitch compatible with skid steer attachments, optional handheld auxiliary tool circuit and a two year/2,000 hour warranty.
