Genie introduces E-Drive across GS slab scissor lineup

Lifting equipment manufacturer Genie is bringing its AC electric drive system to its entire GS slab scissor line.

Quiet and emissions-free, the E-Drive system offers increased runtime and lower maintenance costs for commercial and residential contractors, as well as rental houses.

“Owners also will find they spend less on batteries over the life of the scissor lift due to longer runtime per charge and fewer lifetime charge cycles,” Michael Flanagan, Genie product manager, said in a release.

In addition to the new E-Drive, Genie’s latest scissors have two times the tire tread depth as previous designs, offering better traction.
