Doosan portable LSC light tower promises reliability, durability

By Jillian Morgan

The Doosan Portable Power LSC light tower features a Kubota D1005 1,800-rpm water-cooled diesel engine. It has a power rating of 6 kW with the utilization of a high output alternator. This voltage allows operators to illuminate the unit’s four 1,000-watt metal halide floodlights or LED lamps and utilize the receptacle power function simultaneously. The LSC has a service interval of 750 hours and includes integrated hinges on the street-side. The light tower’s fuel tank offers a runtime of 55 hours. It is available with standard metal halide floodlights or optional LED lamps. The steel mast includes custom-molded plastic guides. It is raised by dual, hand-operated winches and features an automatic safety brake. At full mast and with all four outriggers/jacks secured, the unit will withstand winds of 65 mph. The telescoping, rotating tower locks into position. For traveling and storage, a locking system holds the tower into place when in the stowed travel position. Options available for the LSC include LED fixtures, a block heater and a combination hitch with a 2½-in. pintle eye and a 2-in. ball.
