Ditch Witch introduced its HX lineup of vacuum excavators last year. Now, the company is adding to it with a new, more economical option.

“Expanding on our initial success, we used direct customer feedback to offer a similar, but more economical, HX model that doesn’t compromise power or versatility,” said Chapman Hancock, Ditch Witch product manager for vacuum excavators, said in a release. “The HX30G delivers the same core benefits, in a low-profile package at a lower price point, to meet the specific needs of municipalities and contractors that use the machine daily.”

The new model incorporates the same durable design and low-profile as its predecessors, allowing it to access right urban areas.

It’s powered by a 31 hp Vanguard gas engine designed for optimal suction power and water pressure for any small- to mid-sized excavation job. It can also take on non-hazardous cleanup tasks. The HX30G offers more power with a 542-cfm blower, 3000-psi of water pressure and 4.2-gpm of water flow. It comes with either a 500- or 800-gallon tank and an optional jib boom.

A variety of trailer configurations are available.
