Owners of John Deere equipment will no longer need to renew their JDLink subscriptions, and those not already using the telematics platform can connect to the service for no additional charge.

The equipment maker said last month it was eliminating the subscription and making the platform free. The fleet management tool can help machine owners maximize uptime and increase productivity.

“With the next phase of our JDLink offering, we are making it easier for customers to manage their fleets,” said James Leibold, Deere’s product marketing manager for Connected Solutions, in a release. “Instead of needing to keep track of renewal dates by each machine, owners and fleet managers can look at monitoring their equipment holistically and can focus on what’s important — keep their job sites running.”
