Continental introduces new air hose for heavy-duty applications

The industrial equipment arm of Continental has introduced a new heavy-duty air hose for use the in the construction and mining markets.
The company said its new Super Rock Drill 600 HT is designed to work in high temperatures and under high working pressures.
“This is a hand-built hose that is exceptionally applicable to customers and markets that operate in hazardous environs,” Laszlo Dobo, product manager for Continental’s industry hoses, said in a release. “The material in the heavy-duty air hose provides an ideal solution on construction sites, mines and quarries.”
The new hose has a working pressure of 600 psi, can withstand an operating temperature of 275 F (135 C) and complies to ARPM (Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers) guidelines on a 4:1 safety factory.
