D8x12 Navigator horizontal directional drill from Vermeer is intended for small service installations, including gas distribution, power, water and telecommunication networks. It features two drill rod options – 1.31 in. and 1.66 in. – hydraulic pilot joystick controls and a 35.8 kW Kohler diesel engine. The drill offers 1,000 ft-lb of spindle torque, 7,850 lbs. of thrust/pullback and a forward travel speed of 2.8 mph. D8x12 operates at 85 dBA with a sound power of 104 dBA.
