Caterpillar’s new range of Cat wheel material handlers – MH3022, MH3024 and MH3026 – feature application-specific design and a front push blade for all undercarriage types. Redesigned orange peel grapples aim to reduce fuel consumption by as much as 15 per cent. The MH3022 – ideal for sorting, waste handling and other jobs with space constraints – offers a choice of two MH booms, three straight sticks with linkage and two drop-nose sticks. It features a wide compact undercarriage and a centered swing bearing. The MH3024 combines an extended MH front linkage with choice of undercarriage configurations. The MH3026 is equipped with a long MH boom, choice of three drop-nose sticks – which range in length from 4.9 to 5.9m – three straight sticks and choice of three undercarriage sizes. Two drop-nose sticks, with lengths of 4.5m and 5.5m, are available for the MH3022 and MH3026. These allow for transportation between job sites without removing the stick. The 2.75m undercarriage can accompany the MH3024 in conditions that are not stability-sensitive, or a MH3026 handling low-density materials.
