Cat introduces more than a dozen variants of new D3 Series skid steer, compact track loader

16 new Cat D3 Series skid steer loaders (SSL) and compact track loaders (CTL) are designed to deliver better performance and an enhanced in-cab experience for operators.
Caterpillar said the more than a dozen new versions of its D3 Series models each come ready to support a line of new Smart Attachments, automatically recognizing the attachments and converting the machine controls to align with the operational and informational needs of the specific attachment.
For operators, the SSLs and CTLs have a cab door that opens wider than its predecessors, as well as more space inside by adding more distance between the joystick pods.
For the upgraded compact track loaders specifically, Cat has made changes to the equipment’s undercarriage frame and torsion axles that reduce pitching and rocking, improving stability when handling heavy loads or grading.
