Bomag reintroduces 600-hp-class of cold planers with upgraded engine, design

Compaction and paving equipment manufacturer Bomag has reintroduced its proven line of 600-horsepower-class cold planers.

The company said its 2200/60 cold planer is now available with a Tier 4 Final engine, as well as a reengineered milling chamber and front material depressor that result in better performance.

Among other features, the new planer, which offers a 86.3-in (2,200-mm) cutting width, also includes a new inner scraper design and improved compartment seal to help to prevent material loss.
