Bobcat says it has packed the digging power of larger machines into its new lineup of R2-Series compact excavators capable of squeezing onto tight job sites.
The company showed off the first two machines in the new line at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas last week, saying more models will be added to the overhauled line at a later date.
The E42 and E50 feature a redesigned Bobcat engine that simplifies maintenance and improves performance in cold weather compared to previous models.
Among other features, the R2-Series also include dual-flange track rollers that extend the undercarriage structure closer to the track’s edge for added stability and improved over-the-side digging performance.
Options include the Bobcat depth check accessory kit, touch display and rear camera.
