Ammann introduces new ACP 300 ContiHRT asphalt mixing plant to North America

Switzerland-based Ammann Group Holding, which manufactures asphalt and concrete mixing plants, as well as compactors and asphalt pavers, has introduced its latest asphalt mixing plant to the U.S. and Canadian markets.
The ACP 300 ContiHRT can produce a mix made up of more than 60 per cent RAP (reclaimed asphalt pavement), a rate the company says is unrivalled across North America.
The continuous plant incorporates the company’s recycling technology, which has been proven around the world, to meet increasingly stringent emissions guidelines. Ammann says the plant’s “gentle” pre-heating of the RAP prevents thermal stress on the asphalt concrete content and ensures a highly homogenous final mix.
Most owners are likely to take advantage of the plant’s recycling credentials, Gilvan Pereira, Ammann’s region director for the Americas, said in a release.
“It’s highly sustainable, and that leads to cost savings,” he said. “It’s the best of many worlds. The high recycling technology creates a very sustainable mix. You’re essentially turning waste into aggregate. The low temperatures reduce fuel costs – and minimize emissions, too. This provides value on many levels. You’re developing a green product and reducing costs in the process.”
With a horizontal design, the ACP 300 ContiHRT is fast and easy to assemble or disassemble.
A wide range of optional equipment is also available.
