A $33.7 million elementary school in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, built by Wright Construction Western Inc., recently had its grand opening.
“This is an exciting day for the City of Weyburn as we join together to celebrate the opening of this beautiful new school and child care centre,” said Education Minister Dustin Duncan.
The school has an attached recreational facility that will benefit the entire community, he added. In addition to the pre-kindergarten to Grade 6 school which will accommodate up to 750 students, the project also includes a child care facility.
“This school is an important part of our government’s commitment to investing in infrastructure to build a better quality of life for Saskatchewan families and communities,” SaskBuilds and Procurement Minister Jim Reiter said.
