New Brunswick will invest about $1.6 million for roadwork projects in Fredericton, N.B.

Part of Pointe-Sainte-Anne Boulevard will be reconstructed, as well as Lincoln Road between Draco Road and Experimental Road.

Curb and gutter installation will take place on Hanwell Road and Lincoln Road. Sections of Hanwell Road, Waterloo Row, Vanier Industrial Drive, Royal Road and Lincoln Road will be paved.

The funding is part of the province’s 2018-19 Municipal Designated Highway Program. The program allows municipalities to apply for funding assistance for capital upgrade projects.

“I want to thank the Province of New Brunswick for their investment in upgrading the provincially owned infrastructure in the city,” said Fredericton Mayor Mike O’Brien.
