Following a deal this September to acquire John Deere dealer Nortrax, the Brandt Group of Companies is making a major change to its product lineup.

The Regina-based dealer said Oct. 25 it will begin carrying the full range of Wirtgen Group’s aggregate and road construction products. The deal will come into effect Dec. 1 and includes equipment sold under the Hamm, Kleemann, Vögele and Wirtgen brands.

“This announcement illustrates our strong commitment to Canada’s roadbuilding and aggregate industries.” Shaun Semple, Brandt’s president and CEO, said in a release. “The Wirtgen Group’s impressive product lineup is highly-compatible with our existing John Deere offering, so customers will now be able to come directly to Brandt for an unparalleled selection of the machines and product support that they need to succeed!”

As a result of the Wirtgen agreement, Brandt said it will be ending its relationship with compaction equipment manufacturer Bomag. Starting Dec. 1, Bomag products will be available at SMS Equipment Inc. locations.

Wirtgen equipment will be available at Brandt Tractor dealers through a newly-created unit known as Brandt Road Technology starting Dec. 1.
