
Ontario man killed in road construction accident north of Toronto

Health & SafetyCALEDON, Ont.—Provincial police say they’re investigating after a man died in what they describe as an industrial accident in Caledon, Ont.
Police provided few details about the incident, which they say took place the afternoon of Jan. 14 at a road construction site.
They said officers called to the scene found an unconscious man with serious injuries, who was rushed to hospital and later pronounced dead. Local media have reported the man was working on-site and was struck by an excavator bucket.
Police have identified the man as 33-year-old Jacob Lein of Melancthon, Ont.
Both police and the provincial Ministry of Labour are conducting investigations into the incident.
Anyone with information is being asked to come forward.
