Man run over by bulldozer on Highway 417 construction site in Ottawa

OTTAWA—A man in is critical condition after being run over by a bulldozer on an Ottawa construction site.

According to the Ottawa Paramedic Service, a man in his 20s was taken to the Ottawa Hospital June 11 after an incident on a job site near Highway 417 and Maitland Avenue west of downtown.

Paramedics said the man had serious leg, pelvis and abdominal injuries. He was stabilized before being transferred to hospital. No other details about the incident have been released.

The city is currently working on a multimillion-dollar project to widen a three-kilometre stretch of the 417 from six to eight lanes on the west end of town.
